Why our eggs

not your store eggs
Backyard hensOur chickens live in our yard and pasture in Poway, not a factory.
Fancy feedOrganic feed from Modesto Milling. No soy. No corn. The hens eat better than we do.
Laid this weekStore eggs can be a month old. Ours were in a chicken a few days ago.
A funny noteEvery box tells you which chicken laid your eggs and what she's been up to.
"These eggs are from Coconut. Coconut is the goofball. She is scared of leaves. Yes, leaves. Enjoy your eggs!"
A real note from a real box.

About CJ

"The chickens do the hard part. I do the selling."

CJ is 7, about to turn 8, and he loves sports, building things and, most of all, the chickens. His real name is Chris Jr., but the chickens are pretty sure CJ stands for Chicken Jr. Nobody has had the heart to tell them.

CJOwner. Orders, packing the boxes, and the funny notes.
The hensEgg department. Seven of them. They work for feed.
DadWebsite guy. Also Coop Maintenance Guy.
